Seborrheic keratosis – Before and After

Age spots or liver spots are pigmented spots on the skin, usually arising after the age of 40. These are caused by the accumulation of pigment from pigment producing cells. They are light brown to brown with a uniform colour, usually flat with clearly defined border. They may be single or multiple. They do not fade in winter. They can appear on the face, arms or hands. Most common cause is exposure to UV radiation.

Seborrheic keratosis, is another common skin condition. It is a benign skin growth that ranges in colour from light tan to brown or black. It can appear in adult life, typically beginning around 30s-40s and can increase with age. Some people inherit a tendency to develop a very large number of them.
