PLASMA FIBROBLAST TREATMENT
Before and After images
Plasma fibroblast treatment is a non-invasive treatment, which encourages tissue regeneration. It stimulates fibroblast activity to increase collagen and elastin in the skin and causes tissue contraction resulting in tightening of the skin.
Here at MKSkin clinic, Milton Keynes, we offer plasma fibroblast treatment for non-surgical eyelid lift (Non-surgical blepharoplasty), tightening of excess skin on the upper eyelids. It can also be used for skin tightening on the neck.
How does plasma fibroblast treatment work?
The Plasma Pen, which is an FDA approved, CE approved device, is used to perform plasma fibroblast treatment. Plasma Pen converts electrical energy into gaseous diatomic molecular nitrogen and transmits that energized gas in a non-contact way to the skin’s surface from above. This causes a micro-trauma to the skin’s epidermal layer (top layers) whilst simultaneously heating the deeper dermal structure via thermal conduction. You will typically see immediate tightening along with cumulative improvements over the next three months in the appearance of saggy skin. In some cases, it may require more than one session depending on the desired results. Results are long-lasting, usually around 2 years.
Is the plasma fibroblast treatment painful?
The area to be treated is numbed before treatment takes place so there is minimal to no pain.
What are the possible side effects of plasma fibroblast treatment?
The Plasma Pen is a relatively safe treatment, particularly when compared to more invasive cosmetic procedures. Minor side effects like swelling, bruising, scabbing or crusting can occur, which resolves in a few days.
People with the following conditions, should not have this treatment:
- People with fat/water retention, not loose skin.
- Pregnant or Breast feeding.
- People with a tendency to form keloid scars, those with regular cold sores.
- Skin Fitzpatrick 5 or above
- Epilepsy
- HIV/AIDS/Autoimmune deficiencies
What downtime can I expect after my plasma fibroblast treatment?
- Few days downtime for treatment on the face and neck areas
- Swelling usually begins the day following your treatment, and peaks around day 2
- After day 3, swelling subsides and scabs form.
- Scabs normally begin to fall off around day 6 and 7.
Here at MKSkin clinic, Milton Keynes, patient safety and effective treatments remain our priority.
