Seborrheic keratosis, is a common skin condition. It is a benign skin growth that ranges in colour from light tan to brown or black. It can appear in adult life, typically beginning around 30s-40s and can increase with age. Some people inherit a tendency to develop a very large number of them.
Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra (DPN) is another common skin condition that causes small, dark raised bumps on the face and neck. These appear most commonly on the cheeks, forehead, temples and neck. These are very common in darker skin tones (African, Asian and pacific islander descent).
DPN is usually genetic, often runs in families. These grow in number and size with age.
